TLV3202-Q1: Conditions for Propagation Delay Time Specs

Part Number: TLV3202-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV3201-Q1,

Hello,

I have two questions on propagation delay time specs of TLV3201-Q1 or TLV3202-Q1.

  1. TLV3201-Q1 or TLV3202-Q1's data sheet specifies its propagation delay times, tPD, but what's the voltage level condition for the specs? I guess it's either the start of rise/fall time, the end of rise/time, or the middle (50%) of the output voltage swing.
  2. For the specs under full temperature range, TA = -40 to 125 °C, what are the conditions of input overdrive and CL?

Best regards,
Shinichi Yokota

  • Yokota-san,

    For your two questions:

    1. TLV3201-Q1 or TLV3202-Q1's data sheet specifies its propagation delay times, tPD, but what's the voltage level condition for the specs? I guess it's either the start of rise/fall time, the end of rise/time, or the middle (50%) of the output voltage swing.

For this spec, the device is powered at 5V with common mode = 2.5V (Voltage at IN-). tpd is measured from the point IN+ crosses 2.5V to the 50% level swing of the output.

    2. For the specs under full temperature range, TA = -40 to 125 °C, what are the conditions of input overdrive and CL?

In this test, input overdrive = 20mV and CL = 15pF.

  • Jonny-san,

Please let me ask additional questions.

    1. Are the Max values of rise time (tR) and fall time (tF) of the TLV320x-Q1 available? I'd like to take into account the effects of the rise and fall times in considering propagation delay time of the TLV320x-Q1 because a receiver threshold is not 50%.
    2. What are the input overdrive and CL conditions of the parameter tR and tF?

    Best regards,
