Hi , I am using this IC for comparaing two voltages but I am little bit confused for using SHDN/EN pin. Can yoy please tell me what should be the voltage at EN pin and how it affects the circuit? I read the data sheet but it is quite confusing.

Sorry for the confusion. If you apply a logic high level to the shutdown pin, the output no longer tracks the condition on the input pins and the quiescent current reduces. a logic low signal is required for the comparator to operate.

So, I want my comparator to generate an ON-OFF signal for the gate driver than tell me the shutdown pin should range from (V+-1.7) to (V+-0.9) as given in the data sheet or I should ground it ?

To better explain, I created an example where I assume that (V+) = 5V.
Disable shutdown feature => SHDN < 3.3V = ((V+) - 1.7V)
Enable shutdown feature => SHDN > 4.1V = ((V+) - 0.9V)
The key is to notice that VL has a max allowable value to disable shutdown, while VH has a min allowable value to enable shutdown.
Hope this is more clear.
