What are the new improvements with the refreshed LM393B & LM2903B parts? 

  • Keeping with TI's tradition for continual innovation, TI has refreshed LM393 and LM2903 – two of industry’s most popular comparators first released in the 1970s.

    The LM393 and LM2903 are pin-to-pin, higher performing upgrades to the legacy devices. They are available in both standard packaging as well as new small-size options, as shown below.

    These parts are the new benchmark for standard comparators, offering best-in-class cost, performance, and supply. We have not only upgraded the different performance specs, but the temperature range has also been broadened.  

    In this table below, we highlight the key differences between the parts first released in the early 1980's and our newly refreshed parts.
