THS4513: Output stage of THS4513

Hi team,

Our customer would like to know the output stage schematic of THS4513. They want to see if it's a push/pull configuration or has a current limiting resistor on the output.

They are trying to conduct a radiation analysis for low earth orbit(LEO) on this part. Currently, the part is susceptible to certain radiation events and they are trying to determine the severity in regard to our circuit design.
Knowing the configuration of the output stage to this part would help determine this.

Well Jonathan,

The THS4513 is not RR out so probably is a Class AB output stage (emmitter follower, push pull) on each output. Likely no output R or current limiting,

You do know there is a space qualified FDA, the LMH5401-SP

Hello Jonathan,

Please refer to the following response:

"I looked at the data sheet for this part and based on that, I would say it has a class AB emitter-follower output stage.

Base on similar designs, there are probably ballasting resistors in the emitters of the output devices which are used to

protect the individual output stage emitters from running away; It is not short circuit protection."

- I recognize that response, those ballasting R's in each emmitter are probably in the 5 to 10ohm region.
