ISO224: ISO224

Part Number: ISO224

Hi ALL,

I designed a circuit on TINA by giving a 12 volt AC and ensured both grounds(I/P and O/P of ISO224) are isolated.

I grounded the -ve terminal of the differential output of ISO224 and gave the output to a voltage follower.

The sine voltage of 12 volt amplitude is without a DC bias.

I found the voltage at the output of ISO224 is having some DC bias which is unexpected to me. The simulation and the results are attached.

Please comment.

  • Hi Rajesh -

This looks like the normal operating condition of the ISO224 to me.  The ISO224 outputs are centered on 2.5V, this is shown in the datasheet.  One note though, you can't just tie the (-) output terminal to ground.  You would be better off using the op-amp as a differential to single ended converter by adding a few resistors.  We give an example of this in the ISO224EVM Users Guide.
