OPA348-Q1: Support need for OPA348-Q1

Hi Expert,

Nice to meet you. OPA348-Q1 is used in customer. This project is already mass production. There is one pcs of OPA348-Q1 was broken on End customer side. Could you give us some recommendation? Thanks.

Here are the question from customer side:

1. Device Life. How long the device can work normally under the datasheet condition?

2. Failure Analysis.

The device still can work,, but the offset of V+ is 0.19V. When VDC is 0V, V+=0.19V, Vout =0.7V. When V+= 1.0 V, Vout =  1.51V.

Which function part may be damaged? Could you share the internal function for OPA348-Q1? Thanks.

    Typically our devices are specs are provided for operations for 10 years at room temperature. Operating at higher temps will degrade specs longer. The device should not become damaged as you have described just because it is operating for a long period of time. 

    Are there any connections to the output? 

    What are the values of R1 and R2?

    What is the minimum and maximum VDC voltage?

    Is there a capacitor in parallel to R1?

    Is it possible for the 5V supply to go above the absolute maximum ratings (7.5V)  during a load dump condition?

    One of the most helpful ways to help determine what pin is damaged is to curve trace each pin to Vcc and Vee (pin 5 and pin 2). This will help see if there is a diode damaged inside the device and will help to narrow down our search. Does the customer have the capability to do this?

    The V+ of 0.19V is not enough to run the op amp. The VOUT is higher than V+ so something else on VOUT node is backfeeding the op amp output pin. Is this the only odd thing about the suspected failed op amp?
