INA240: Behavior of INA240 when IN+/- is floating

Part Number: INA240

Hi team,

customer has some question about INA240.

they apply 3.3V to VS, and observe IN+/- are1.34V.

and IN+/- is. actually, floating.

Is this behavior is correct?

and if so, could you tell me the error of this IN+/- voltage.

best regards,

Takuya

  • Hi Takuya,

INA240 input voltage is defined externally. When left floating, the input pins will drift to anywhere between ground and supply depending on internal parasitic paths. The level will vary from device to device and will not be well defined.
