Hi Team,
Is their any current limit on VCAP pin, what will be the device behavior if VCAP pin shorts to GND.

Hi Shinu,
Let me check with the designer and possibly get into the lab to verify this. I'll update you.
Hi Shinu,
If VCAP shorts to ground, it is possible that the device will be damaged. If the device is not damaged, we would expect the fail-safe feature of the device to trigger. The current limit would be slightly higher than 10mA.
Hi Alex,
Thanks for the inputs.
Can you please help clarifying on below operating conditions also.
1.If VDD2 pin is open w.r.t GND2 or if VDD2 wrt GND2 is with zero voltage and with all other inputs in normal condition, will the output voltage be zero?
2. As per page 8, On OUTP or OUTN shorted to GND2, the maximum current is limited+/-18mA from VDD2. What happen if OUTP & OUTN are shorted still current is limited from VDD2?
Thanks in advance for the help and support.
Regards, Shinu Mathew.
Hi Shinu,
1. Yes
2. Yes and I would expect it to be less severe compared to a OUTP/N short to GND.
Please let me know if there are any more questions.
