Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BUF634, LMH6321
We are considering the adoption of BUF634A (SO Power PAD).
Previously SMALL reel products were listed, but now they are gone.
Are you planning to release SO Power PAD small reels? And when is it?

Hello Hasan,
I have the same problem.
Small reel of SO Power PAD has disappeared from the web.
Could you tell me the background of this?
The history remains in the past posts about BUF634AIDDAT.

Hello Yusuke,
Currently looking into this and will get back to you.

Hello Hassan,
If the short reel version isn't released, my customers will have to adopt different part numbers and change the land pattern as well.
Please answer as soon as possible.

Hello Yamamoto-san,
Sorry about the delay. We are not currently planning on offering a small reel option. You are still able to purchase the device in smaller quantities either from the TI estore or through Digikey/Mouser's cut tape options.
Best,
Hasan Babiker
Hello Hasan,
Thank you for your response.
Could you tell us the background behind the removal of the small reel option when it was officially released?
We were introduced from the preview stage.
Therefore, I am responsible for explaining it to the customer.
Best regards,
Yusuke
MOQ is a big factor for our customers.
Customers recognize products purchased from TI Store and Mouser as samples and may not be able to use them for quality assurance reasons.
Will the SON version (BUF634AI DRBT) be released as a short reel product? And when is the SON version of RTM?
Hello Yusuke,
This change was made to streamline our inventory and optimize product delivery.
B/R,
You can order smaller quantities of the large reel product from the TI store & our distributors. These parts still follow the same quality guidelines, can you clarify on why they cannot be used? .
The SON version will be released very soon.
Best,
Hasan Babiker
Hello,
The SON package will also likely be released in a large reel package.
Best,
Hasan Babiker
hello, Hassan,
Currently, short reel products are listed on the website, but I understand that mass production is for large reel products. If you do not mass-produce short reel products, please do not list them. I was very confused.
Incidentally Yoshihiko-san
I notice now the small reel has been added online. The X prefix is prerelease TI only order path.
I was drilling down through different buffer solutions for the composite circuit where the SSBW is kind of important, and your e2e was at the bottom of the product folder - incidentally, here is what that looks like where the old BUF634 included the quiescent control in the model - set to full power here - there was a model update on the BUF634A that peaked it a little more (using 32ohm load here) - probably to get over 200Mhz sim F-3dB although no datasheet plot shows anything that high?
There will be an AudioXpress article on that imbedded BUF634A circuit in the Feb2021 issue perhaps.
When the BUF634A (SO PowerPAD version) was still in preview, it was listed as a small reel. However, when the status became active, only large reels were listed.
BUF634A (SON version) is currently in preview. A small reel is listed. When it is activated, the large reels will be displayed and the small reels will disappear.
I see what you are saying, that is very odd to not provide a small reel of the SO-8 powerpad, certainly the number of build flows and inventory issues come into play - I think this is intended as an upgrade path for the older OPA634 where those smaller customers needing the small reel will find this annoying of course, that part at least had a 75 pieces tube,
Audio folks also use the LMH6321 - a bit slower buffer, it also has a smaller tube size but no 250piece T&R
