TLV9061: Where is pin 1 on X2SON package (DPW)? - datasheet does not really help

Part Number: TLV9061

I received this smallest opamp... WOW! It is so small I don't even know what I'd do with it!

I looked at the datasheet to see where is pin 1 and it shows "PIN 1 INDEX AREA". But I see only a letter and a digit - I can only guess it's "C6".

So how can I find out where is pin 1?

Thank you.

(Whoever made this I salute you! The tech is just amazing... to a point I can't see it :)

    Hi Alex,

The first time I was handed a board with this package type on it, I thought the amplifier was missing entirely. So, I don't blame you for having trouble locating pin 1.

If the device is just laying around, I think you're going to have to flip it on its back and look at the contacts. Pin1 has a different contact point in that it doesn't have the sharp point that the other outside pins have. See the image below.

On the other hand, there's an easier way to do this if you still have the device in a reel as the units should all ship in the same orientation. Go to pages 35 and 36 of the data sheet and, using the "Pin1 Quadrant" of the device, you can figure out where pin1 of each packaged device will be.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Regards,
    Daniel
