BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV: BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV: Is it possible to use NI LabVIEW to generate and feed PWMs into BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV (GaN inverter) without the launchPad?

Part Number: BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV
Hello team,
Is it possible to use NI LabVIEW to generate and feed PWMs into BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV (GaN inverter) without the launchPad. I have a modified PWM scheme different from conventional PWM scheme. Thus, I consider this modified PWM cannot be achieved in Matlab with C2000 LaunchPad. If it is possible to use GaN inverter individually, could you give me some suggestions for what details I need to pay attention to?
Thanks for any help!
  • Hi,

I think what you described is possible. The PWM frequency around a few 10KHz would probably work the best, therefore I would start with something in this range.

Besides I would pay attention to voltage compliance to avoid damage to any low voltage components. Also don’t forget to set “nEn_uC” signal (see schematic) low to enable the buffer.

    Regards, Guang
