INA197 pin assignment

Hi everyone!

I've been experimenting lately with the INA197 and I am planning to incorporate it to my final PCB design. However, before manufacturing it I want to be sure of one thing. According to the datasheet the pinout of this device is, from 1 to 5, as follows: OUT, GND, V+, Vin+, Vin-. However, during my tests I concluded that the actual pin assignment is OUT, GND, Vin+, Vin-, V+, which happens to be the pinout indicated for INA193, INA194 and INA195 in the datashet. Is there an errata in the datasheet?

BJH which, in fact, matches the code for INA197 indicated in the datasheet.

Hello Jaime,

Thanks for verifying the markings. Can you please share with us the details of the tests you conducted that indicates the INA197 is in the wrong package (e.g. schematics and scope shots of the inputs and output)? Also, do you obtain expected results when connected per Pinout #2 in the datasheet?

I'll try to find time as soon as possible to provide you with the requested scope captures. As far as the schematic is concerned, I connected a 0.1 Ohm resistor between pins 3 and 4, supplied pin 5 with 5 V, and measured OUT in pin 1.

Regarding the second question, the answer is no, it does not produce the expected output. That is the reason why I tried the other configuration.
