Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2206, OPA698
Greetings,
Does the OPA656 have over voltage protection on the V+ and V- inputs?
If not, can you suggest one have this function?
Thanks,

Hello Yumiko,
What is the magnitude of voltage that you expect at the input to the amplifier? The inputs should not exceed the positive and negative supplies for the OPA656. There are no parts with internal over-voltage protection at the bandwidth range of the OPA656, not sure of your requirements here but the OPA2206 has internal over-voltage protection.
If you need something on the bandwidth scale of the OPA656, I suggest you protect against this using external circuitry. There are some suggestions on how to do this on the following video:

The OPA698 may do want you want it to - since it has output limiting, the inputs are likely designed to handle overdrive.
