I just want to monitor the current of a 5V USB port. Power supply is the same for the INA186 and the load.
¿Is that possible?

Thank you Clemens, my question concerns to power the INA186 with the same source it is sensing. It is assumed that voltages are in range.
I struck me that no example is connected this way.

Normally our Current sense amplifiers can have and common-mode input range at any supply that is described in the CMRR specification. There are some exceptions and that is why it is good to read through the datasheet. As for this device there is no issue with the VS and the VCM being 5V.
