INA226: Shunt Gain Error

Part Number: INA226

Hi team,

The following tables come from INA226 datasheet 6.5 Electrical Characteristics on page 5.

Does the 0.1% MAX ‘Shunt voltage gain error’ include the error caused by temperature variation? In other words, should I add the temp co error to the MAX error to calculate the worst-case error?

Same question for offset as well.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Errol

  • Errol,

The max specification does not include include temperature drift.  The specifications are at the global conditions unless otherwise expressed.  Therefore you must assume the conditions are for all test unless they are noted in the test conditions.

So for gain error use 0.1% + (MaxDeltaTempertatureFrom25°C*50ppm)

    For VOS use 10µV+0.1µV*MaxDeltaTempertatureFrom25°C
