Differential amplifier for interfacing with ADC16DV160 ADC

Hi,

In our application ,we are planning to use ADC p/n ADC16DV160, the input to this ADC is pulse input with width around 100ns and amplitude vary from 0 to 2V .After discussing with your team ,we want go with differential amplifier.Can we use LMH6554 differential amplifier with ADC16DV160 ? Can you suggest input circuit of ADC, for translating 0 to 2V to match the input full scale of ADC .

Hi Keshava,

The LMH6554 can definitely be used to drive that ADC. The application circuit will depend on what gain you need, the input type, and if you need matched filtering on the output. You can see an example circuit in figure 32 of the LMH6554 datasheet.

Hi Jacob,

Thank you for reply. In our application ,preferably require dc coupling ,single supply and input range will vary from 0 to 2V with pulsed input.

Hi Keshava,

With your input signal at 0V you will likely run into issues with the LMH6554's input range. I would suggest taking a look at the THS4541, which has a negative-rail input so that it can run all the way down to 0V.
