OPA342 in peak detector circuit ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA342

Hi

Can I use an OPA342 in a peak detector circuit like this :

Can it handle an input differential voltage of 5V (with +5V single supply) ?

Thank you.

  • Hi Remi,

Yes, the OPA342 should work in this application.

The input common-mode voltage range will dictate what the usable input voltage range of the amplifier is.  For the OPA342, the input common-mode voltage range is listed as (-0.3V to V+ + 0.3V) so it is a true rail-to-rail input amplifier.
