TPS73719-Q1 & TPS73733-Q1 delay from EN to Vout

Hello,

Can you please help with the following customer question:

I wanted to know for part numbers TPS73719-Q1 and TPS73733-Q1 what the delay is for the output pin to go from low to high (ms, us, or sec?) after the EN input goes from low to high. Also what the delay is for the output pin to go from high to low (ms, us, or sec?) after the EN input goes from high to low. This is with 5 V on the Input pin and the EN pin pulsing from 0 to 5 V after a given amount of time.

Thanks,

Andrea

  • Andrea,

Are figures 23 and 24 of the datasheet (TPS73719-Q1) not enough for them?

  • The delay time from EN signal to output is very small. It is less than 20uS. It is clear on figure 23 and 24 page 9. The output voltage positive slope at EN swing from low to high is due internal loop compensation. The down slope at EN swing from high to low is due to output capacitor and load current. I believe figures 23 and 24 are at room temperature. The delay could be higher over temperature but I don' t expect more than 50uS.
