SN54F11J & SNJ54F11J ==> Same spec,but different parts #

As we checked, twos parts, SN54F11J & SNJ54F11J

They are same parts, same function, same specsheet,

But customer is requesting athourized letter from TI cause customer have to obtain certification from end user,

Could you help to provide the athourized letter about same components for SN54F11J & SNJ54F11J ?

We have to explain the reason of the different parts # SN & SNJ , eventhoug same datasheet.

Pls advise the reason of twos parts #  SN54F11J & SNJ54F11J ASAP!

  • Good morning,

    The SNJ54F11J is a MIL-SPEC device manufactured in accordance with MIL-PRF-38535 QML Class Q and also meets the Standard Microcircuit Drawing (SMD) 5962-9758101QCA.  Both the TI part number and the SMD are marked on the device.

    The SN54F11J is a commercial grade device rated -55°C to +125°C to the TI data-sheet.

    While the electrical performance may be the same, per MIL-SPEC the SN54F11J cannot be substituted where the SNJ54F11J is specified.   If is it not a MIL-SPEC application then either part could be used.
