Hi,

I am using AFE4490SPO2EVM to calculate the heart rate and spo2 level. i have confusion regarding the functions for heart rate and ac value calculation.

Firstly, I want to know whether this formula Vrms = Vpeak/sqrt(2) ~= 0.707 * Vpeak will give me the ac value ?

Secondly for heart rate calculation i took help from the the algorithm i am attaching , can you please verify from the attachment that i constructed the correct code.

In the below link, there is another method for heart rate calculation, which one is better ? the one in the attachment or the one in this link?

I have some questions regarding this 3 beats method for heart rate.

Does that 3 beats means 3 positive peaks from no of samples which is coming from filter ??

what is the ideal threshold value ?or what aspects should be taken into consideration for choosing a threshold?

The 3 beats could be derived from either peak detection technique or from zero crossing technique or other techniques.
There are numerous resources available online that can help you to develop your own algorithm for Heart rate estimation techniques.
