TLK2711-SP: TLK2711-SP Questions on Obsolescence

Part Number: TLK2711-SP

The TLK2711-SP is listed as active, but the normal catalog version of this part (TLK2711A) is in a lifetime buy. My questions is if the TLK2711-SP is going to continue to be active, what part can a customer use to test the device without having to invest the money involved in buying the –SP part. Will there be something that the customer can use to test the TLK2711-SP without buying the –SP part? Normally this has been the case in the past. Please let me know.

    The TLK2711HFG/EM is offered as a lower cost engineering evaluation device. 

    Note /EM units are intended for engineering evaluation only. They are processed to a non-compliant flow (for example, no burn-in, and so forth) and are tested to temperature rating of 25°C only. These units are not suitable for qualification, production, radiation testing, or flight use. Parts are not warranted for performance on full MIL specified temperature range of –55°C to 125°C or operating life.
