I am actually using your PN MC1558JGB but it was not recognized in the Part Number field above.

I am a contract manufacturer and our customer has your MC1558JGB on the BOM for an assembly we build for them.  The customers drawing requires the parts be 100% screened IAW Method 5004 of MIL-STD-883, Class B and be subjected to Group A Quality Conformance Testing per Method 5005.  Please advise if your MC1558JGB parts meet these spec off the shelf.

  • Good morning Teresa,

The MC1558JGB is manufactured in conformance with MIL-PRF-38535 QML Class Q. Per MIL-PRF-38535 a manufacturer may substitute or remove certain screens and tests if it can be demonstrated with data that these process optimization do not affect form, fit, function, quality, or reliability.  Please see SBOA141 "QML Process Optimizations" at http://www.ti.com/lit/SBOA141 and SBOA140 "Texas Instruments QML Lot Documents" at http://www.ti.com/lit/SBOA140 for more information.  In the case of the MC1558JGB some processes, such as burn-in, have been eliminated as a process optimization.  For more information please email me at the address in my profile.
