TLV2548-EP: CS Held LOW

Part Number: TLV2548-EP

Here is the customer’s question:

Right now we have FS tied high and use STE as /CS. (called FS=1 mode)
We would like to tied /CS permanently low and use STE as FS.
The short STE pulse gives us better control of the ADC start of conversion.
The concern is initial configuration write of the part.
The power up and initialization requirements lead us to believe /CS must be toggled or at least have a high to low transition.
But the timing diagram (Fig 5 write cycle with FS active) implies it might work.
We tried it in the lab and it does work with /CS grounded.
Is this OK to do?

This appears to work, but I could not find any verification anywhere else. Will this work for the customer?

Thanks for your help with this!
