Hello,

I checked the similar post as below.

drv8840 OUT Max voltage (e2e.ti.com/support/applications/motor_drivers/f/38/t/464698)

There is the answer as "-0.7V to VM+0.7V".

Our customer test the OUT1 voltage, then that is -1.8V.

The customer used the competitor device.(Allegro)

It is mentioned the absolute maximum ratings as "-2V to VM+2V" on the datasheet.

So, the customer do not change the device from competitor.

Is it correct the voltage of the OUT1/2 "-0.7V to VM+0.7"?

Hi Aoyama-san,

Did the customer measure the OUTx pin with respect to the device GND or board GND? There can sometimes be several hundred millivolts difference.

Hi Rick-san,

I checked the customer's measuring.

The customer measured the OUTx pin with respect to board GND.

Now the customer measure the OUTx pin with respect to device GND. The result is -1.2V.

Is this out of AMR?

Hi Aoyama-san,

Our design team says this is not out of AMR. We will investigate adding this to the datasheet in the future.

Can I tell the customer a tentative value of AMR is -2V ?
