DRV8711: Peak current variation

Part Number: DRV8711

Hi,

Do you have data of peak current variation?
- Sink:Typ100mA,150mA, 200mA and 400mA
- Source:Typ 50mA, 100mA, 150mA and 200mA
I want to know Max and Min value of those.

Best regards,
Shimizu

  • Hello Shimizu-san,

I need to talk to my team to see if anyone has this information.
  • Shimizu-san,

Considering variation over parameters, temperature, and process, each current setting can vary by +/- 50%. The gate driver controls current by turning on internal FETs in parallel and the IDRIVE current is approximately 10 V/(Rdson/number of FETs). At room temperature, we expect only +/-25% due to parameter and process variation. Over temperature, we expect another +/-25% variation (high temperatures de-rate the current lower, and low temperatures de-rate the current higher). Adding those variations together is how we determine there will be about +/-50% variation over devices and temperature.
