"In April, I open my bill,In May, I sing night and day"
Do you remember the kindergarten rhyme about the cuckoo? Indeed, as April arrives, the cuckoos can be heard all over in the garden city. As the winter draws towards a conclusion, signs of spring are already beginning to appear. The tamarind trees are turning a new leaf (or two). Soon, the streets of Bangalore will sport trees in blossom. The boulevard that leads to TI office is lined with trees that will cover themselves with purple or yellow flowers. Ice Cream will once again be back in fashion.
But seriously, there is more reason to visit TI Bangalore campus this April than the yellow and purple flowers and mango ice cream. We are hosting the second TI India Educators' Conference, or TIIEC 2014. I had announced this a little while ago and many of you have responded by submitting your work to the conference - we thank you all. The technical program of TIIEC 2014 is under construction and we expect to provide you an update in March. That is also the time when we will announce the winners of the first phase of Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge - India Analog Design Contest 2014!
I do have an update - the website for TIIEC 2014 is now online! Visit tiic.in and you can be an early cuckoo that registers online. The two-day program will have the following structure - Day 1 (April 4) will include paper presentations and discussions on education; it is mainly intended for educators (only). Day 2 will feature the exhibit program as well as the award ceremony, which we believe will be more colorful than the yellow and purple flowers. The registrations are now open for early birds. The following categories of registrations are available - [a] student [b] educator and [c] educator who is also an IEEE member. For those who wish to visit the exhibit program, we have enabled free registration, but note that you must still register online and must get a confirmation from the organizers.
We hope to see birds of the same feather flocking at TIIEC 2014 this April!
