Can I use the F28M35x Concerto for Grid-tied Solar Micro Inverter with MPPT Development Kit?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

As state in the question, can I use Concerto Control Card for "Grid-tied Solar Micro Inverter with MPPT Development Kit"? I think of this question because it seems that Concerto Control Card has the same interface (DIMM 100) with the F28035 Control Card.

  • Hi Hac,

You're correct about both have DIMM100 but you need to check & compare the peripheral, JTAG pinout of respective controlCards. Compare their schematics that are available here: C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\~controlCARDs

  • Hi Gautam,

Thank you for the reply. I'm wondering whether the inverter configuration in the kit is of "bi-directional" type or not? Can the kit be used to charge and discharge batteries?
  • If you're inquiring about the Solar micro inverter kit then... No it does not have the provision for battery charging and discharging. You can go through the block diagram present here: C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\TMDSSOLARUINVKIT_v100\Docs
