TMDSICE3359: EtherCAT connection issue

I am use Processor SDK 4.1 and have the EtherCAT_Slave_01.00.05 application running on my ICE board. The LCD shows the name of the application that is ethercat slave demmo.
I am trying to connect my board to my PC which has the TWINCAT 3 software. I have followed the step mentioned in the quick start guide. However i am stuck at this point :
Go to I/O- configuration> I/O devices- Right click on scan devices
The scan devices option can not be selected.

I tried it with 2 different computers.
One having Windows XP on virtual machine with Realtek network adapter and the other having Windows7 -32 bit with Atheros Erhernet controller.
Facing the same problem with both of them.

Were you following the steps to setup TwinCAT? processors.wiki.ti.com/.../PRU_ICSS_EtherCAT

This is the list of compatible network driver TwinCAT supports: infosys.beckhoff.com/english.php

Yes, i am following the steps for TI_ESC slave setup with TwinCAT3. I am having a problem in starting the EtherCAT application.

There is a step mentioning TwinCAT project > I/0 > right click Device1(EtherCAT)> select Scan Boxes... If Scan Boxes is grayed out then select TWINCAT > Restart TwinCAT (Config Mode).
However both the options( scan Boxes and Restart Twincat )are grayed out.

Bhushan,

From your screen snapshot, it doesn't seem you 'Start the TwinCAT XAE (VS2010)'. You can refer to our screen capture as well:

Have you tried to deactive/active TwinCAT switch runtime as shown below?

Sorry. I attached a different screenshot from system manager. I have started the twinCAT XAE(vs 2013) in which i am facing this issue.

It's likely your network adapter is not compatible with the TwinCAT 3. You may try to contact Beckhoff for support: www.beckhoff.com/english.asp
