TLV320AIC3268: ASI1/I2S Slave Mode

I even tried a simple Dec4xIn to I2S_Out and it doesn't work. No data being clocked out. My assumption is that this is all related to the clocks. I have tried to set the ADC and DAC to use MCLK directly instead of using the PLL but that didn't make a difference.

I am getting a line output just fine. No headphone output, which I understand should be coming from the LDAC/RDAC.

I also tried to Enable "SynchMode" but that didn't do anything either.

I probed the clock lines going into the TLV320: MCLK, BCLK, and LRCLK are all active. However, the OUT1 from the TLV320 is inactive. No data being clocked out of the TLV320. The USB bridge that is generating the clock is running the MCLK at 12.288 MHz at a 48 KHz sample rate. This sample rate of 48 KHz matches the TLV320 sample rate.

Have you updated the properties in your PPS file for 48kHz operation? You need to select 48kHz as true under the sample rate dropdown and then set the current rate to 48.

Yes. I tried 48KHz, my default.  I later tried 44.1KHz and then 16KHz. No change in the problem.

The audio bridge chip that is acting as the clock master is sending out 12.288MHz. This is the 48KHz sample rate *256.  (fs*256). The LRCLK is at fs*64.

My feeling is that the ADC and DAC clocks are not properly set up. Thus, the DAC is not operating and not sending out the I2S and Headphone outputs. My other theory is that the TLV320 is starting before the MCLK is properly established by the master clock chip.

Delayed starting the TLV320 for 15s after bridge chip was powered up and MCLK was operational. No difference in the behavior of the TLV320. ADC seems to be working with analog audio inputs being routed to the Line Output nice and clean. Nothing out the DAC.
