TPA2013D1: Question of TPA2013 Boost Bypass Connections

Part Number: TPA2013D1

Hi Sirs,

According to TPA2013 datasheet, it requires a Schottky Diodes to send voltage rails from SW node to VCC in boost bypass mode (Pin 6 = Low).

(1) Can we connect the Schottky Diode to VDD node and remove the inductor in boost bypass mode as the picture below?

(2) Is the Schottky Diode mandatory or optional? Can we turn on the internal switch of BG control in boost bypass mode without an external Schottky Diode?

Thank you and Best regards,

Wayne Chen
