PCM1794: Differential output in digital filter bypass mode

Hi,TI !

I want to convert the gradient data digital-to-analog.I used PCM1704 before, and I plan to use PCM1794 .

Can I use external filter mode when one path gradient data is fed into PCM1794.

When using the external filter mode for digital-to-analog conversion, two pairs of differential outputs are used simultaneously on the datasheet.

Is there any difference between the left channel differential output and the right channel differential output?Can we just use a pair of differential outputs like IOUTL– and IOUTL+?

Hi tq,

If the PCM is in external filter mode, the outputs are in mono mode, meaning that the IOUTR differential outs are the inverse of IOUTL differential outs. If you only need one channel, you can just use IOUTL.

In mono mode, I need a pair of differential signals.Can I just use a pair of differential outputs like IOUTL?

I want to convert differential current to differential voltage.Can I use an NE5534 operational amplifier and the circuit recommended in the datasheet directly？

Yes, you can use the IOUTL differential pair outputs in the circuit diagram using the NE5534 in the datasheet.
