OPA1671: OPA1671 TI PSPICE simulation problem

Part Number: OPA1671

Hi TI support team,

We are considering to use OPA1671 in our circuit. During my simulation with TI PSPICE, it popped error "ORCAP -15098". This OPA1671 simulation project file is what I downloaded from TI website directly. I didn't do any change. Following internet thread, I uninstalled TI PSPICE, deleted SPB folder and reinstalled TI PSPICE. It didn't work. I suspect it is OPA1671 model problem. Can I get help? Thanks.

Regards

  • Victor,

I was able to reproduce this issue. I am looking into this further. In the meantime have you tried adding a single probe to the output and running a simulation? This resolved the error. Unfortunately it did pop up eventually again and I had to delete the probe and add a new one on in order to continue. Although this is not ideal or acceptable I wanted to share that temporary "fix" while I look further into how to resolve this. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will be connecting with team members on this issue and will get back to you by early next week.

  • Hi Chris,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have switched to TI-Tina tool and got what I wanted.

As Ti-PSPICE has more features and Ti-Tina won't get support, I plan to switch to PSPICE whenever possible. Not urgent but do hope to see this problem solved. I have decided to use OPA1671 in our application. Thanks.

  • Victor,

I am happy to hear you were able to move forward. I do have our team working on this currently. If you face more issues don't hesitate to ask questions.
