TLV320AIC3110: Power Sequence Timing.

Hello,

The datasheet for the TLV320AIC3110 mentions recommended power-supply sequence as follows:

1. Power up SPLVDD and SPRVDD
2. Power up IOVDD
3. Power up DVDD shortly after IOVDD
4. Power up AVDD and HPVDD

However there is no mention on the recommended min/max timing delay of each power on. Can this be provided?
Is there any harm if all supplies are powered on all at the same time?

Hey Jerry,

I would recommend a delay of 1ms between each one to account for start-up delays for some of the components of the device when they receive power.

Hi Carson,

Thanks for the reply. The LDOs I am using to supply the different power rails each have their own turn-on times. One of them being about 3ms. Is there any harm in having a delay that long? Is there a max delay time I should not go over? Or is it okay as long as the sequence is met?

You should be fine as long as you follow the sequence. There is no harm in the delay.
