TAS2562YFPEVM-DC: No sound output from EVM board

Hi TI members,

I've connected PPC3 with TAS2562 EVM, also configure the setting as user guides.

But TAS2562 AMP still has no sound output. Could you help to check whether there is any setting mistake?

[PPC3-EVM-MB]

J12: 5Vdc

VCC-I2C: 3.3V

VCC-I2S: 3.3V

IOVDD: 1.8V

[TAS2562]

Mono setup

Below are all the setup conditions, also the speaker output (4ohm) was connected to J8 OUT1 connector.

Jumpers setup refer to below photo.

Windows playback devices,

Audio format,

Purepath console software able to connect with EVM,

Start-up signals and test tone from PC.

I've checked the digital audio signal into AMP are working, but i'm not sure why the AMP has no output.

Hello,

What are the blue wires on the EVM near the output terminals?

Also, can you check the IRQ flags of the device control page and see if any of them are triggering?

Thank you so much for your reply.

The 4 blue wires came along with EVM from TI.

I can't trace the blue wires connection through EVM schematic. The component location are not existed.

The board version that I received was AMPS043B, the EVM schematic from TI web was AMPS043A.

Hello,

Thanks for the additional information. It doesn't look like there are any issues with your configuration based on that. One other thing to check is that the channel grouping is set up properly for channel 1.

If you double check that and still aren't able to play sound, can you try the other channel output of the EVM to see if the issue is related to the output channel.
