TLV320AIC23B: TLV320AIC23B bypass mode not working

Part Number: TLV320AIC23B

Hi,

I tried to enable bypass mode in TLV320AIC23B but not able to hear anything on LOUT and ROUT.

Below is my procedure to enable bypass mode:

Reset Register : 0x00

Left line input channel volume control  : 0x17

Right line input channel volume control  : 0x17

Left Channel Headphone Volume Control : 0xFF

Right Channel Headphone Volume Control : 0xFF

Power Down Control : 0x06

Analog Audio Path Control : 0x0A

Let me know if i am doing anything wrong here

Can you please provide register setting to enable bypass mode in TLV320AIC23 ?

  • Hello,

You may try changing the Power Down Control to 0x0E which would make sure the DAC is off, but also can show me the full word values you are sending into the device to make sure you are addressing the registers correctly, since the register values are 9 bits long and the address 7 bits there could be a chance you are writing to some of the registers incorrectly. It is crucial to address correctly since the device is write only and is hard to verify correct settings. Please do this and get back to me if the problem persists.

    Best,

    Carson
