TPA6211A1-Q1: AEC-Q100 quolified

Part Number: TPA6211A1-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA6211T-Q1

Hello,

TPA6211A1-Q1 had been used in Automotive application.

When look at the latest datasheet SBOS555E, the sentence of "AEC-Q100 Qualified" is deleted.

But PCN # 20190923001 mentioned actual device was not changed even SBOS555C version datasheet was described "AEC-Q100 Qualified".

So, what is main reason of this change? This device was not met Q1-100 requirement from beginning?

Regards,

Mochizuki

  • Hi Mochizuki-san,

For AEC-Q100 qual device, please refer to TPA6211T-Q1. It is the "T" device the one purposed for this qual grade, the other device is a previous version.

  • Hello Ivan,

    Thank you for your comment.

We have understood that at new design we should use enhanced thermal performance package device which is TPA6211T-Q1 for AEC-Q100 requirement.

However our customer has been using TPA6211A1-Q1, initially Rev.C version datasheet has AEC-Q100.

    1. What is reason to remove AEC-Q100 from Rev.E version?
    2. TPA6211A1-Q1 thermal performance or electric parameter was changed from 2019?
    3. Are TPA6211A1-Q1 and TPA6211T-Q1 using same die and it has same electrical parameter?
    4. Is the LF changed because the power-pad has different dimension on TPA6122T-Q1?
    5. What is modification area at Rev.D datasheet in 2016?

  • Hi Mochizuki-san,

I'm scheduling some time to check this out today, will send an update by tomorrow at the latest.

  • Mochizuki-san,

Sorry for the delay, the conclusion is that TPA6211A1-Q1 should not initially had the AEC-Q100 qualification, this is the reason why it was removed from data sheet.
Now TPA6211T-Q1 is fully qualified for AEC-Q100, it is recommended to transition to TPA6211T-Q1 for automotive applications.

  • Ivan-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

It would be big surprised from automotive customer who had been stuffed those devices.

We will inform this to the customer today and we will contact you if get further questions.
