Hi team,

Can my customer use a ferrite bead that is 120 ohms at 100 MHz, or do they need to use something equal or less than 22 ohms at 100 MHz as suggested in the datasheet (since the TPA6166A2EVM does use a 120 ohms, 1.2A part, MPZ1005S121C)?

Hi Connie,

As explained in the data sheet, using beads with higher impedance at 100MHz would make ESD transients longer in time, causing the ESD stress to last longer. There is the recommendation, customer can consider other solutions taking this into account.
