TPA2010D1: Protection

Hi Expert,

Could you please let me know about the protection circuit of TPA2010D1?

1. Over current,

 There is OC detect circuit in block diagram of datasheet. please let me know the protection current value. I cannot find it in datasheet.

2. UVLO

Does TPA2010D1 have the UVLO function for power supply POR?

What is "Startup Protection Logic" in  block diagram?

3. Short circuit protection

Does TPA2010D1 have the short circuit protection for below conditions

 - shorted between VO+ and VO-

 - shorted between VO pins and VDD

 - shorted between VO pins and GND

4. Output limitation (Distortion prevention)

Does TPA2010D1 have the output limitation function like as AGC or ALC?

    Hi Muk,

    I'm adding comments on each question below:

    • The OC detect block works based on the current flowing at the output drivers. It should trigger somewhere around 1.5A
    • This device does not feature UVLO protection. The Startup Protection Logic block basically means that the device must be power cycled or toggle shutdown  in order to return back to operation
    • Yes, the OC detect circuit works for the mentioned conditions
    • There is no AGC or ALC on this device. The gain is fixed based on Ri value. The only limit is the supply voltage/current.
