TAS5828M: OTFB

Part Number: TAS5828M

Hi Team,

How to set OTFB parameter of the TAS5828M?

Best regards,

  • Hi Eric

There's only 2 parameters in Temperature Foldback needs can be adjusted. The Time Constants is easy to understand, it means how much time our device stays overtemperature to trigger the OT. The Temperature Scale means the additional offset you can added into the original settings inside our device. The original settings inside our device is shown as the second picture. There are 4 temperature points, at each points the device will set -0.5dB, -1dB, -5dB, -24dB limit to the input signal. By setting the offset value in Temperature Scale, you can change these limit all together. And if any limit higher than 24dB, it no longer takes effect because it beyond the highest level of digital signal in our device. So with the default value 48dB, all the OTFB doesn't take effect.
