TLV320AIC3254EVM-K: Spatial Filter Component

Part Number: TLV320AIC3254EVM-K

Hi Team,

We would like to ask your help regarding our customer's inquiry below.

I am trying to use the build-in Spatial filter component. I use 2 microphone 6cm apart. It seems it does not do anything.

Also, I would like to know, how to implement  the designed system (in PurePath Studio) to a custom build board.

I understand, that the code should be uploaded via I2C, I just cannot find a detailed description how to do it.

  • HI,

Have you looked at this site?

You can also search under e2e for more information of using pure path.

  • Hi Peter,

Thank you for your response. We have received this feedback from our customer,

May be I did not described my problem clearly. I have installed correctly the PurePath Studio. I have designed a simple system, which barely contains more than the spatial filter. I connected two microphones to the evaluation kit and a speaker to the output.

Both microphones pick up voice and I can hear it on the speaker.

The idea would be that the close source can be heard clearly, while the source further away is filtered out.

And this is the part what is not working.

Also, I did read most of the material, and although I have an idea how does it work, I still think there is no detailed description, which would make easier this process.

  • Hi,

Right now the best approach is to search in e2e forum. Have you looked at the GDE user's guide and the PPS quick start guide?
