TAS5441-Q1: Datasheet question

Part Number: TAS5441-Q1

Hello Team,

I have some question about TAS5441-Q1 datasheet.

Q1. In figure 6-3, there is no graph more than 9V at 2Ω. Does it mean we can't input more than 9V when using 2Ω load?

Q2. The datasheet only shows "typical" value about overcurrent threshold. Is there any possibility to trigger overcurrent protection at 3.0A?

And is this overcurrent threshold value fixed or adjustable?

Thanks,

Yuta Kurimoto

  • Kurimoto-san,

Q1: when PVDD is above 9V for 2ohm load, it can never reach 1% THD, because OC will be trigged.  So in the application of >9V and 2ohm load, the input audio level should be limited to avoid output OC.

Q2: The OC threshold is not adjustable.  From 3lot qualification data, the minimum OC threshold is 3.3A, so there is no possibility to trigger OC at 3.0A.
