Analog Converter without Host

Hello,

I am looking for Analog to Digital converters that can directly send data to TI Smart Amplifier without any Host Interaction.

Below is my system architecture:

Here Output from DSP is Analog, which I need to give to a Smart amplifier for which I need a converter that can work standalone and convert that analog data to a format that is understandable by Smart Amplifier.

Please suggest an appropriate part for the same.

Hello Ajit,

Are you looking for something that has hardware control only? As in no I2C or SPI needed?

For the ADC at bare minimum you would need to supply master clock and set some pins (pull high or low) to get sampling rate/data format you would desire.

Dear Carson,

We are okay with I2C, interfacing I2C protocol is not an issue, but I2S we have only one bus which is already connected to DSP.

Now the output of DSP which is analog needs to be pushed to Smart Amplifier which is digital I2S/TDM based.

For this Analog to Digital we need some solution.

Hello Ajit,

I understand now, all of our Audio ADCs here can take in a analog signal and output digital data that can be taken in by smart amp, you can sort by the digital data format.
