Hi Team,

We are developing the Audio module on IMX8mm-evk board.

IMX8mm-evk <--> TLV320AIC3100IRHBR (Internal .8W) .

IMX8mm-evk <--> TLV320AIC3104-Q1(External 2*20W) <--> TPA3118D2-Q1 Power Amp.

Need to understand switching between two codecs TLV320AIC3104-Q1(External 2*20W) and TLV320AIC3100IRHBR (Internal .8W) .

Is there any way to switch between these two codec using programmatically?

Both the codec being used because of there specific power value.

TLV320AIC3104 will be the source of the audio signal, and the analog output of this CODEC will be input to TPA3118D2-Q1.

Hi,

These are on 2 different boards - correct?

You should check with IMX8mm-evk on how they are communicating with other ICs in the board.

From AIC31xx parts, these are I2C interface and both have the same I2C address (0x18) so you need to ensure you are talking to the correct part.

We have only one evk board but two different codecs.

Is there any way to talk with them seperately ?

You have to be able to isolate them maybe place an I2C switch from the host or change one of the codec that has a different address.
