TLV320AIC31: What could be causing the noise

Part Number: TLV320AIC31
TLV320AIC31 HPOUT channel test. I2S port input 500Hz sinusoidal digital signal, and found that the output sinusoidal signal was superimposed with about 200mV noise. Waveform reference figure 2
We tested the power and the ground. The noise is much lower than 200mV. Its About 20 mv.
What could be causing the noise?

  • Hi,

Have you checked with high resolution acquisition from the scope just to ensure nothing to do with the probing?

Next to check are the digital audio clocks clean and audio format correct?

Have you tried lowering the amplitude, how's the spectrum looks like?

Are you measuring with headphone connected or without it? Try with the headphone connected.

    Regards,

    Peter
