Was waiting for approval. First ticket I got this guy that told me to ask on the forum! Weird and un-professional, if you ask me.
Started another ticket, had another guy who knew his job and i received approval just a few minutes ago, 2 weeks after receiving the hardware!

I have anotherrelated question. For some reason, when I try I get the mesage "Access denied"

OK. Here's my new question.I have apparently successfully installed the app on both my desktop and laptop.
On teh laptop, trying to update results in Failed to update, and clicking Available EVM apps results in a few turns of the wheel and ...nothing.

Are you able to install and access the app fine on the desktop? If so, please restart the laptop, open PPC3, sign in, and check for available apps again. Let us know.

As I wrote earlier, I have installed the software on both the desktop and the laptop.
I have restarted teh desktop, restarted PPC3 and still the same problems. When I try to update I get the message "failed to download" and when I click on Available apps, I get teh wheel turnng for a few seconds and nothing.

It's still not clear to me, is the error on both the laptop and the desktop? Or is one of them working fully? You mentioned the "on the laptop" first so I assumed the desktop was working 100%.

I have had this error happen on a PC before when the PPC3 software was very out of date. I am not sure why it would be happening on a fresh installation, but maybe your first install had a hiccup or got corrupted somehow. Hopefully my solution works for you too, which was to fully uninstall it, restart PC, then reinstall. Make sure to run as administrator and ensure the installation goes smoothly. Let us know how that goes for you. I've double-checked that you have all the access needed so it seems more like a local issue.

The error is only on the laptop.

I have just done as per your suggestion, and still it does not work. Same symptoms.

So have you gotten the program to work on at least of your devices (PC or Laptop)?

Yes, on the desktop, which is not a big help, because my bench is not at the same place

Could you specify difference between systems, are they same windows version and exact same folder path used for PPC3 and version?

Also make sure of same TI login is used on both.

And after all that if f you haven't already I would delete all PPC3 and try again otherwise I cannot really help since the problem seems to be your laptop.

Desktop is W10-64 home, laptop is W10-32 Pro.
I use the one and only same TI login.
I have already uninstalled/reinstalled PPC3, to no avail.

I go from disappointment to disappointmen.
This is not indicated in the minimum requirements.
I'll switch to ESS.

One last question before completely giving up, what is your RAM on the laptop vs PC? that could be the real limiting factor since it may not be directly fact it is 32 bit but the fact 32 bit have smaller RAMs typically.

Actually it's a 64-bit OS

This is unusual

You could possibly try to run in different compatibility mode by right clicking and going into properties. Then go to switch to compatibility tab and change to windows 7.

This morning I received a mail saying there's a new version v 3.2.1 that fixes sign-in issues.

I installed it and guess what? it works!

TI support took me for a ride for close to 3 weeks when the issue was with a flawed software.
