TLV320DAC3100: Request/Queries for driver

Hi Experts,

Good day.

Client is working on 5.4.70 kernel on i.MX8M Mini, and have few questions as follows:

"1. Using tlv320aic31xx.c driver, whether this driver is correct for this module?

2. This driver uses voltage supply like HPVDD, SPRVDD, SPLVDD, AVDD, IOVDD, DVDD; but as per datasheet there is no SPRVDD , SPLVDD and it has SPKVDD , why is it so?

3. How to add node for this driver in dts file?"

Regarding Q#2, current D/S seems considered two speakers (left and right) to be tagged as SPK only; I couldn't see any errata note for this.

Hi Archie,

I will check with the team to provide you the suggestion with your driver and dts file questions.

Regarding your second question , D/S seems considered two speakers (left and right) to be tagged as SPK only but the driver is probably a generic one compatible with many more devices with dedicated supplies for each Channel.

Hi Archie,

Let me comment on your other questions about the driver:

tlv320aic31xx.c driver is correct for TLV320DAC3100. As you can see from txt file it is compatible. Basically you won't be using the ADC settings of the device.
You can also find example from the same txt file as below.
