TAS5825P: If TAS5825P always report "CLK_FAULT", what trouble will happen?

Part Number: TAS5825P

The I2S source BCLK always jitter between 3 and 3.2MHz:

LRCLK = 48KHz

So, TAS5825P always report "CLK_FAULT", what trouble will happen?

No audio? or OCP? or OVP?

We want to know more "CLK_FAULT" will make what trouble in our production.

Thanks!

  • Hi Mick

         If your LRCLK stays unchanged and only BCLK change from 3MHz to 3.2MHz, the ratio will become 62.5 to 66.7. Our device is very sensitive to this ratio value, we should keep the ratio 64 stable, and your LRCLK and BCLK can have a little jitter at the same time. If the ratio really changes so much, our device may trigger fault and goes into Hi-Z state. But when our device find I2S clock returns normal, it will back to PLAY automatically, and the CLK_FAULT sign will still be there to remind you there was a fault happened. If your I2S clock can remain stable, this fault signal won't cause any trouble. But if your clock still unstable, the device may trigger fault again and go to Hi-Z.
