TLV320AIC23B: What is the "real" resolution in bits of the ADC and DAC?

Part Number: TLV320AIC23B

The data sheet for the TLV320AIC23B says on page 1-1, "Data-transfer word lengths of 16, 20, 24, and 32 bits, with sample rates from 8 kHz to 96 kHz, are supported."  I am wondering what the resolution of the ADC and DAC are.  If the data-transfer word length is 32 bits, how many of those bits are "real" data bits from the ADC, and to the DAC?  The SNR and dynamic range specifications suggest to me something like a 20-bit or 24-bit ADC and DAC.
