SRC4382: Unused Pins Configuration (LOCK, RXCKO, SYNC, BLS, AESOUT, TX+, TX-, GPO1-4, MCLK, INT, RDY, MUTE)

Part Number: SRC4382

Dear Specialists,

My customer is designing SRC4382 and has a question about unused pins treatment .

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

Could you please let us know unused pins configuration.

Regarding LOCK, RXCKO, SYNC, BLS, AESOUT, TX+, TX-, GPO1-4, MCLK, INT, RDY, MUTE.

---

I appreciate your great help in advance.

Best regards,

Shinichi

  • Hello, I would suggest them to go through the data sheet and see the function of any un used pins ( most of these  are OUTPUT pins). If it is an output or monitor pin ( like LOCK, RDY, TX+, TX- and etc ) they can just leave them float and most of the time even termination is not needed. For un-used pins that are INPUT,  they should  pay attention  if a pin can effect them or not. For example a pin like MUTE, is safer to connect it via a pull down resistor to GND and leave it float as I am not sure there is an internal PU or PD resistor at the pin.

Beside datasheet that has a good description of each pin and its function, I have also attached the user guide with EVM schematics that they can use as a reference to work with this part.

    Kind Regards,
