TLV320ADC3120: Where is AVSS

Part Number: TLV320ADC3120

Hi team,

I found AVSS was discussed in separate from VSS as shown in below, however I couldn't find AVSS pin on TLV320ADC3120 pin-configuration. Does it mean VSS=AVSS, and "VSS (thermal pad)" is different from "VSS"?

    Hi Kazuto,

    In this case I believe AVSS refers to the VSS pins, and VSS is referring to the thermal pad.

    the sister part to ADC3120 is ADC3140, the ADC3140 does have an AVSS pin, and the datasheet is a bit older. I suspect what happened is the "Absolute Maximum" section of the datasheet was copied from ADC3140 into ADC3120. This is an error, we will make a note of this and change it.

    That means that the potential difference between the VSS pin and VSS thermal pad should be no more than 0.3V
